Giving Back

Giving back and protecting our resources is an important part of what we believe in at Lone Star Mountaineering. 5% of each booking will be donated to your choice of the following organizations.

Wichita Mountains Climbers Coalition

Established in 1996, the WMCC works directly with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to protect and advocate for rock climbing activities at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge by providing education on resource conservation, trail maintenance, the Advisory Bolting Committee, and guidance on critical climbing issues. Climbing Grief Fund

The Climbing Grief Fund (CGF) through the American Alpine Club connects individuals to effective mental health professionals and resources and evolves the conversation around grief and trauma in the climbing, alpinism, and ski mountaineering community. CGF acts as a resource hub to equip the mental health of our climbing community. Learn more about the wonderful resources that the CGF offers and the work that they do for the climbing community here.

Texas Climbers Coalition

The Texas Climbers Coalition provides route maintenance at climbing areas around Texas as well as advocating for land use and continued access for rock climbing in Texas. The TCC has been instrumental in protecting climbing at popular places in Texas including Enchanted Rock, Hueco Tanks, Reimer’s Ranch, and Medicine Wall.
